WebVR Camp – Fatec Taquaritinga

WebVR / A-frame workshop (from MozActivate) realized with Fatec students from Taquaritinga on 04th of September 2017.

WebVR / A-frame

The WebVR workshop is part of the Mozilla MozActivate campaign for the promotion of new technologies and content related to Mozilla.

This was my first activity as Mozilla Rep, although it was not my first A-frame workshop. Taking advantage of the contents of BrazilJS I set up a workshop to help students better understand HTML by using A-frame to build VR scenes and test those scenes on their cell phones with the use of Cardboards.

Metrics

  • 25 people participated in the activity
  • 12 people tested their own scenes using the Cardboards
  • 5 people used VR for the first time
  • 100% of the participants received an email with a link to the satisfaction survey and the links presented during the workshop.

A lot of scenes were created and many participants were interested in learning more about A-frame and the possibilities of creating content with WebVR, we are preparing an upcoming edition to deepen the concepts and talk about animations and interaction with objects.
